Amanda Lane, CPA

Amanda is a 2008 graduate of Mount Mercy University and has eight years of experience in the public accounting profession. She specializes in exempt organization tax issues and has broad experience assisting clients with complex tax matters. Amanda has presented at TDT’s Nonprofit Financial Professional updates on topics including “Donations and Taxation”, “Top 10 Best Practices for Nonprofits”, and “Using Your 990 as a Marketing Tool.” Amanda is located in our Cedar Rapids office and serves nonprofit clients across all of our ten office locations.
She is currently the chair of the Advisory Future Planning Committee as well as a Member Advisor of Junior League of Cedar Rapids. She previously served as Vice President of Operations and Treasurer of the organization. Amanda is also active as a committee member of the Iowa Society of CPA’s Exempt Organization’s committee and recently was the chairperson of a subcommittee to develop a brochure for nonprofit organizations to provide assistance with understanding issues that smaller nonprofits face in preparing their respective Form 990. In 2016, Amanda received the “Rising Star Award” from the Iowa Society of CPAs, which recognizes members 40 and under for their service to the Society, civic, and other charitable organizations. Amanda is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Iowa Society of CPAs.
